We all experience stress in our lives, and this election cycle in particular has been a source of ongoing stress for many.  The good news is that the Dharma and mindfulness practices offer us practical insights and skills to manage the stress of trying times.  The Mindfulness for Challenging Times class will provide you with information and tools to help you understand why you may be feeling stress and how to manage it.  This class is based on both traditional Buddhist principles and modern day Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) research on the attitudes and skills that can help us manage stress in our daily lives.

This three-class course is intended to be practical and each class builds on the prior class.

Class 1: Learn how to meditate, for beginners to more experienced practitioners.  Learn three Buddhist principles to help you develop insight into why you are feeling stressed.  Become more familiar with what is challenging to you.

Class 2: Applying mindfulness to challenging experiences and deepening awareness of the impact of challenging times on us.  Skills to cope with election-related stress.

Class 3: Deepening resilience through awareness and practice.  Putting it all together and taking what worked for you into election day and beyond.

After you register and pay, you will be sent the zoom link for the program.
