Room: Windhorse

The Philadelphia Shambhala Center is pleased to host a series of workshops cultivating embodied presence. Curiosity, Compassion, Courage builds on the foundational BIPOC gatherings Arawana Hayashi and Nicole Taylor offered last year and broadens to invite all who want to practice in community.

The purpose of these gatherings is to support a community of people committed to embodiment practices. Using Social Presencing Theater and other modalities, Each three hour session will start with a grounding and check-in, followed by group practice and dialogue, and ending with a check-out. Nicole Taylor and Elaine Yuen will lead these sessions, supported by others with deep practice and expertise in embodiment modalities.

Who is this for? Anyone who would like to practice embodied presence with a small group of folks.

Our goal is to create a space where curiosity, compassion, and courage can be accessed in a brave space alongside other bodies. The June session will be for folks who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. The July session will be for ALL bodies. We’ll keep switching off every month.

No experience is necessary. The only prerequisite is that you want to practice presence.
