Sunday Sitting Meditation (In person)

    You are welcome to join us for public sitting on Sundays from 10:00 to 11:00 am. This is an opportunity to practice with a group. All meditation sessions are free of charge, though donations are welcome. 

    Meditation instruction and guided practice will be offered every second and fourth Sunday from 10:00 to 10:30 AM. Please arrive by 10:00 if you wish to join this session. We also offer an extended How to Meditate program once a month. Please see the Programs page on the website for more information. 

    You are also invited to join an informal Dharma conversation right after Sunday Meditation where you can ask questions, share experience, and meet new friends.  On the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, Shambhala Meditation Instructors and Hosts will be on hand from 11-11:45 to discuss readings from  “The Essential Pema”,  a free online pdf.

    Buddhism and Social Justice

    Every 3rd Sunday after Sitting Meditation: 11:00am-12:00pm

     

    Join us for an ongoing exploration of what Buddhist wisdom can bring to our current state of social inequality and environmental crisis. This is an opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and think deeply about how we as individuals and as community can connect meditation and Buddhist teachings to our lived experiences.

    No need to register – just join us for a lively and informative conversation at 11:00 AM after sitting meditation.

    UPDATED Health guidelines –   as of October 21, 2022, the policy for in person events at the Center is: Masks are optional. They are welcomed and encouraged for the protection of yourself and others. Vaccination is not required. If you are not feeling well and/or are symptomatic: please stay home and take care of yourself.
