A five-week course with no prerequisites, Contentment In Everyday Life includes basic meditation instruction, then expands on the experience of peaceful abiding meditation, and introduces working with contemplations.

Contentment can be hard to find. Much of the time we search for it in things, achievements or relationships. With meditation practice, we relax with ourselves and appreciate simple human experiences. Difficult emotions and the challenges of life can be met with gentleness, mindfulness and inquisitiveness.

Through practice we come to know the peace and contentment of meditation, which can then continue in everyday life. Arrogance and our habitual discursive minds agitate and distract us from basic contentment. In these classes we will learn how to counter these obstacles with patience and gentleness to ourselves and others.

This class is open to everyone. Students who have previously completed Contentment In Everyday Life are invited to repeat it at a cost of $25.00.

We are committed to making our programs accessible to all. Our Generosity Policy applies to this program.
