Starting a conversation has the quality of leaping. Beginning a conversation is an act of bravery… it shows your vulnerability. Bravery is an act of fearlessness. Feeling vulnerable is an act of gentleness. Conversation can be a form of celebration: You are happy to be alive, and happy that the other person is alive, too. By leaping, you are deciding to connect to your own heart, which is expressed by saying, “Hello.”

The topics in this spring's Philly Fresh Dharma series are inspired by Sakyong Mipham’s book, The Lost Art of Good Conversation. You don’t have to have read the book in order to enjoy the evening. But if you are inspired to do so, check out p. 81 in preparation for this conversation.

A $5.00 donation is suggested and may be paid when you register or paid at the door. As always, our generosity policy applies, so if you are not able to pay, that is okay.
