Local Meditation Groups In addition to the main center in the Philadelphia Center City area, there are several suburban practice groups to serve practitioners in the outlying areas when it is not always possible to travel to the Center to sit. Please contact them directly for frequency of meeting, program types and other info. Media Shambhala Meditation Group Meets at the Media Wellness Center at 55 State Road, Media, PA. Elkins Park Shambhala Meditation GroupThe Elkins Park meditation group has moved to Yoga Evolution in Jenkintown. Shambhala instructor Andrea D'Asaro teaches meditation every other Wednesday from 5:45pm - 6:45pm. The cost is $5 per week. Sheila Brann provides instruction on alternate Wednesdays, so you can receive instruction and attending sitting weekly if you wish. She gives a simple overview of meditation, a short reading related to Shambhala, and about 45 minutes of meditation and walking meditation.
